Creator Videos

Overview

The Mini Game Gaming Incentive Program (GIP) is TikTok's game content marketing matchmaking platform that connects game developers with content creators to produce promotional videos for mini games. Through this program, developers can publish promotional tasks, creators can accept tasks and create game videos, and influencer videos can feature conversion components and specific hashtags.

The platform amplifies content reach through brand advertising, enables audience expansion beyond existing user groups, and provides comprehensive full-funnel marketing measurement reports. These capabilities enhance brand advertising conversion efficiency and make campaign performance transparent and measurable.

Program value proposition

GIP helps games increase content volume on TikTok, expand user scale and engagement, and build a high-quality game content ecosystem.

Why choose the Gaming Incentive Program?

Access to quality creators

Reach a vast pool of platform creators and harvest rich content creativity. The program provides:

  • 320,000+ global partner creators who have published content
  • 2 million+ approved total submissions
  • 5 billion+ total video views

The rapid development of the partner ecosystem enables more native creators to participate in gaming global marketing activities. Top creators, mid-tier creators, and emerging creators provide tiered influence, improve content infrastructure, and comprehensively enhance game content supply.

Creator categories extend beyond gaming to include animation, comedy, and editing as the three most popular creative fields, plus sports, music, sitcoms, and other popular generalized categories that help games reach new audiences.

Global market coverage

GIP has become essential for game content marketing on TikTok, with:

  • 1 new game partner project launched daily on average
  • 10 million+ average exposures per campaign
  • 35,000 influencer submissions per game on average
  • 10 countries and regions covered by end of 2025, encompassing most game marketing markets that advertisers focus on

One-stop content marketing

The order placement process supports diverse settlement methods and customized bidding:

  • Tiered pricing based on creator follower levels to maximize cost-effectiveness
  • Multiple fixed entry points including TikTok Studio with 100,000+ daily page views in the task hall
  • Complex processes including content moderation, billing, settlement, and payment all hosted on the platform
  • Creative materials can be authorized for advertising placement scenarios

Marketing strategies

CPM Tasks

Suitable scenarios: All game types, especially new games seeking to efficiently increase in-game popularity in a short time. Content-focused game tasks yield better results.

Task publishing

Capability

Description

Task Type

Universal Task: All creators can view and participate. Suitable for attracting more category-wide creators. Assigned Task: Designated creators can view and participate. Suitable when the developer has an existing creator pool or self-operated creators they want to motivate.

Bidding Method

CPM (cost per thousand impressions). The specific CPM value can be set by the developer. The comprehensive bid should not be lower than the platform floor price.

  • Supports specified UID bidding
  • Supports tiered bidding by follower level

Note: Once the task is published, the bid cannot be changed. The task must be taken down and replaced with a new one.

Billing Settings

Billing cycle: Video billing cycle defaults to 7 days (views within 7 days count toward revenue). Overflow views outside the revenue period are approximately 30%+.

Submission settings: Developers can set their own limit on submissions per author. Recommended: 3-5 submissions per author per task cycle, maximum 10.

Budget Settings

Minimum budget requirement: Single game task budget must be at least $5,000. Considering developers may promote multiple games in multiple regions, total budget pool should be at least $10,000. Unspent budget at task end can continue to be used for other games or tasks under the same entity but cannot be refunded.

Task Cycle

Recommended: 14-30 days. Tasks with budget >$30K recommended 21+ days. Task phases:

  • Preheating period: Can be publicly displayed before official task start
  • Submission period: Task accepts submissions until end. When budget drops below 15%, task pauses submissions. Developer can add budget to extend or end the task.

Creator outreach

Method

Description

Platform entry points

  • TikTok Studio: 100,000+ daily task list exposures
  • Details page banner: 1,000-10,000 daily exposures

Active outreach

  • Inbox notifications: Sent every Friday, reaching 10,000-200,000 regional creators per send
  • Creator community and self-operated creator promotion: For US tasks with budget >$30K, email push sent to TikTok self-operated game creator community
  • Task page promotion: Task details page can provide H5, deeplink formats for developer promotion on official accounts and communities
  • Other platform resource promotion

Content creativity and moderation

Aspect

Description

Content guidance

  • Task page copy guidance: Developers provide game creatives (cloud drive). Content copy introductions and video cases can be provided to facilitate creator content that meets requirements.
  • High-quality case guidance: Task can display 3 example contents (published by official accounts or authorized creators).
  • Leaderboard guidance: Task can display top 10 revenue creators.

Content moderation

Videos undergo both TikTok moderation and incentive program platform moderation. Both must pass for video to count as valid. Videos not meeting human moderation view requirements don't enter human moderation. Hot videos are re-reviewed at task end. Reviews completed by local reviewers with approximately 90% accuracy. Review criteria: Video content related to game content without negative content about the game. Custom criteria not currently supported. Appeals: Can appeal within 7 calendar days after task ends. After 7 days, video earnings are fixed and cannot be adjusted.

Placement Authorization

  • Default authorization: Creators publishing through GIP provide 365 days advertising authorization by default (from video publication date).
  • Authorization code acquisition: View videos in Activity Backend Data Analysis → Video List to obtain authorization codes.

CPA task

Task setup logic similar to CPM tasks but billed as CPA (cost per acquisition of converted users) or CPS (revenue sharing).

Frequently Asked Questions

When do creators receive payment? Where can they withdraw? Is there a handling fee?

  1. Creators bind PayPal or other payment accounts in GIP personal wallets. Payment received on 15th of following month after task ends.
  2. Platform does not take a cut; all revenue distributed to creators. No withdrawal handling fee. Some countries may have tax policies; actual standards subject to local policies.
  3. MonthlyEarning payment platform has withdrawal thresholds by region: $10 in most regions, $1-50 in some regions.

What if there are special content requirements or specific content themes?

  1. Platform review currently cannot support reviewing by game version or content theme. Developers can emphasize content requirements in task details section and provide guidance in high-quality case and content guidance sections.
  2. Supports appealing some videos in merchant backend. If appeal approved, video rewards cancelled. Appeal rules follow platform requirements and cannot be customized.

What is the relationship between target countries and billing regions? Why can't some billing regions be deleted?

  1. Target countries: Countries where creators can participate in task.
  2. Billing regions: Countries where user video views count as valid exposures.
  3. In natural traffic, creator video distribution is random with cross-regional distribution per TikTok rules. Platform sets billing regions based on similar traffic proportion and price principles.
  4. Developers should try to cover all game listing regions when configuring details page to avoid exposure waste.
