At TikTok, we strive to enhance user experiences and empower developers to create seamless interactions within our ecosystem. As part of this, we're excited to share that Widgets are now part of our developer toolkit. It's a powerful addition that helps streamline app development on TikTok Shop like never before.

What are Widgets?

Widgets are dynamic page blocks that combine TikTok Shop-based API functionalities with intuitive UI interfaces. Unlike APIs, Widgets come bundled with a user-friendly interface, eliminating the need for developers to build UI components from scratch.

Why are Widgets useful?

1. Maintain workflows in your app: There are some unique capabilities in TikTok Shop where a seller might have to complete a workflow in Seller Center. With widgets, developers can now expose those actions in their apps so sellers can complete their step in one place.
2. Information at the right time in the right place: Widgets also allow developers to showcase information in their apps that was previously only accessible in TikTok Shop Seller Center. Examples include platform-related notifications, violations information, and 4PL-related orders.
3. Lower development effort: Developers can use Widgets' pre-built UI components to reduce development cost. They also allow developers to tap into new actions and information that are not yet supported by APIs.

What Widgets are available?

Let's dive into some of our available Widgets:

1. Warehouse Widget: This Widget allows sellers to set up warehouse information directly within the app. From warehouse addresses to sales ranges, sellers can streamline product listing processes without navigating to the Seller Center.
2. Shipping Template Widget: This Widget allows sellers to set shipping templates. Whether shipping independently or through a third-party logistics provider, sellers can avoid listing failures by configuring shipping templates within a third-party app.
3. Product Optimizer Widget: Leveraging AI-powered recommendations, this Widget gives sellers the tools to optimize their product descriptions for visibility and performance on TikTok Shop.
4. Orders by TikTok Shipping (4PL) Widget: This Widget makes it easier for sellers using TikTok Shipping (4PL) to manage their orders. Batch order processing, label creation, and more can be completed with this Widget without requiring the seller to leave the app environment.

Widgets offer an easy way for developers to improve the TikTok Shop seller experience. We're excited to see how our developer community leverages Widgets to update and create new app experiences!
